To the Point
TO THE POINT stylizes the letters of the City of Stevens Point's nickname placed on a swirling Wisconsin River base, alluding to the "City of Wonderful Water." The sculpture was formed and fabricated in corten steel with stainless steel highlights. Corten allows for a durable, permanent, chestnut patina. The letter "I" is an evergreen tree embellished with bronze boughs brought to a natural verdigris patina.
The triangular cross sections of the letters bend and swoop up in a majestic allegory, strongly rooted and reaching up to the central point. The letters also create an arrow affect pointing forward.
